Dedication Weekend

I got to stay with my Mimi and Papa for 5 whole days! First, Mimi and Papa came and picked me up for a road trip to Bakersfield so my mommie and daddy could spend her 29th birthday with some friends going to a play. Then they came up to join me and we had a little party for my mommie. My uncle Awesome surprised my mommie and flew in from Rhode Island to help celebrate. How fun! On Saturday, my other Grandma and Grandpa and my Aunt Kimiko and cousins came too and we had so much much fun. We played bubbles and shot marshmellows out of some kind of funny blow gun. I was dedicated by my Papa on Sunday at church and it really made all my grandmas cry. I guess my daddy was dedicated by his grandpa a long time ago since my greatgrandpa was a pastor too. Wow, I guess it runs in the family. We had fun weekend and my Mimi took lots of pictures of me. She thinks I am just the "cutest".

Dedication Weekend!

Weekend at MiMi and Papa's House

Well, I finally got to go stay at my Mimi and Papa's house all by myself. My mommie and daddy have been planning to go to a marriage retreat with our church for a long time and my Mimi was counting down the days until I came for a sleepover. It kind of turned in to a sick sleepover. Alot of my friends have had "colds" before but I didn't know what they were. I know now! It means you can't breathe out of your nose and it runs and runs and you get this thing called a cough. None of it was very fun. I tried to make the best of it and so did my Mimi and Papa. They had a whole weekend planned but we didn't get to do much of it. They said they didn't mind since mommy and daddy don't get to go out of town much anymore. The first night was not so great - I woke up at 1:30 am and we stayed awake until 5:30 am. I guess that isn't a "normal wake time". But I couldn't breathe and papa kept saying that is was breaking his heart. By day two, I figured out how to breathe out of my mouth and we all slept better. I love to sleep with my Mimi, it reminded me of the time I was first born and she stayed with me. She said she loves me tons anyway. We have to do it again soon, she said. I guess she wants to show me off to all her friends. She did take lots and lots of pictures of me even though in some of them I look a little sad.

I like to put everything in my mouth!

My first "solid" food!

Today I had my first "solid" food meal. It actually wasn't very solid...in fact, it was just like milk. But that's okay, because daddy got to feed me with a spoon. Mommy got a little teary eyed. Thankfully, they recorded the whole event on video so that EVERYONE could see me drool on myself! Enjoy!
